The Main Medical Department under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan is an independent structural subdivision of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, providing highly qualified diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive, pediatric, sanatorium-resort care, conducting medical examinations, organizing medical and pharmaceutical care, as well as ensuring the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the attached contingent, determined in accordance with the procedure established by law.

         The Main Directorate includes medical, sanitary-epidemiological, pharmacy, sanatorium-resort organizations and other auxiliary institutions (Department for Specialized Transport, Department for the development of material and technical base, JSC "Uzbekistan") under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

 

The main tasks of the Main Department are:

  • organization and provision of guaranteed and high-quality medical and sanatorium services for the attached contingent, including local executive authorities;
  • conducting organizational and methodological work, as well as coordinating and monitoring the activities of subordinate organizations of the Main Medical Directorate;
  • providing all types of medical and medico-social assistance based on a systematic analysis of problems and shortcomings, the introduction of international best practices in the field of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases, scientific and technological achievements, including modern information and communication technologies and telemedicine capabilities;
  • organization and improvement of pediatric care for the attached children's contingent;
  • organization and coordination of the activities of Uzbekistan JSC;
  • involvement of highly qualified specialists from republican specialized scientific and practical medical centers, individual republican medical institutions and research institutes, including specialized foreign medical organizations for joint consultations, consultations and complex surgical interventions, etc.
